Arequipa-Inspired Collection Showcased in Milan During Major Business Roundtable

On Monday, June 30, in the elegant event venue Casa Lago, located in Milan, Italy, we had the honor of presenting one of our most recent and meaningful collections during a prestigious international business roundtable. The event brought together designers, brands, buyers, and professionals from the fashion and textile industries, creating a dynamic space for cultural and commercial exchange between Latin America and Europe.

Our newly launched collection captured attention for its unique aesthetic and strong cultural symbolism. Inspired by the city of Arequipa, Peru, each garment reflects the understated elegance and beauty of its architecture, made of sillar—a white volcanic stone that gives the city its distinctive glow. Earthy tones, stone greys, bone whites, and warm accents evoke not only the urban landscape but also the light and deep history surrounding this iconic southern Peruvian city.

A key highlight of the collection is the combination of traditional and contemporary textile techniques. We incorporated machine knitting using the vanisè technique, which blends different textures and colors within the same fabric, achieving a refined and modern finish. This is complemented by handcrafted details such as crochet medallions, which bring artisanal value and highlight the manual skills of our talented weavers.

As for materials, we focused on the finest natural fibers. The garments are made from 100% baby alpaca, prized for its softness, lightness, and thermal properties, as well as blends of 50% baby alpaca with 50% Pima cotton, creating a breathable, smooth texture ideal for milder climates. We also included wool blends, which add structure and a rustic finish, always keeping sustainability and ethical practices at the core of our production process.

Participating in events like this is a powerful opportunity to elevate Peruvian textile craftsmanship on the global stage. Our presence at the Milan business roundtable allowed us to showcase the outcome of a thoughtful and deeply rooted creative process, while forging strategic connections to further expand the international reach of our collections.

With this proposal, we reaffirm our commitment to conscious, sustainable fashion with a strong identity—fusing innovation with the richness of ancestral textile traditions.
