FAQs (Preguntas Frecuentes)
1. Where are your products made?
All our pieces are handcrafted in Peru using high-quality natural fibers. We work directly with artisans, ensuring fair trade practices and preserving traditional techniques.
2. What materials do you use?
We use premium fibers such as baby alpaca, alpaca blends, and sheep wool. These fibers are not only soft and luxurious, but also durable, warm, and eco-friendly.
3. How should I care for my AWAQ garment?
We recommend hand washing in cold water with mild detergent and laying flat to dry. You can also dry clean if preferred. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
4. Are your products sustainable?
Yes! We prioritize sustainability in every step — from ethical sourcing of fibers to low-impact dyeing and production processes. Supporting AWAQ means supporting a conscious, slow fashion movement.
5. Do you offer worldwide shipping?
Currently, we ship across the U.S., but we’re working on expanding internationally. Stay tuned!
6. How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
7. Can I return or exchange my purchase?
Yes, we accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of delivery, as long as the item is unworn and in original condition. Please review our return policy for more details.
8. What sizes do you offer?
Most of our designs are one-size or have a flexible fit, thanks to the natural stretch and drape of our materials. Specific sizing info is available in each product description.
9. Which is better: cashmere or alpaca?
Both are luxurious fibers, but alpaca offers unique advantages: it’s stronger, warmer, and less prone to pilling than cashmere. It’s also hypoallergenic and comes from a more sustainable process. At AWAQ, we choose alpaca for its natural softness, durability, and because it supports artisan communities in Peru.
